Who this license is for
Anyone who wants to sell life insurance policies — or, in most states, annuity products — needs a state-issued Life license before they can do so. It's the single most commonly held individual insurance license.
Anyone who wants to sell health, disability, or accident insurance products needs a state-issued Accident & Health (A&H) license. It's frequently held alongside a Life license so an agent can offer both life and health/disability products.
